چکیده
In this work, a catalyst coated-diaphragm (CCD) for classical alkaline electrolysis was prepared by the blade-coating method, using Raney nickel as HER and Zirfon® (AGFA Perl UTP 500) diaphragm. Our best CCD reduced overvoltage in an single cell 270 mV at 300 mA cm −2 compared to benchmark, mainly due higher catalytic activity surface area of electrode. The new electrode system also showed low degradation rate 22 μ A h −1 after 1000 voltage 2 V. gas purity tests that has hydrogen oxygen contamination well below lower explosion limit, even current densities. Therefore, we propose use our novel architecture atmospheric electrolyzers, which have partly separated electrolyte cycle.

Nickel based electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution in high current density, alkaline water electrolysers.
A number of nickel based materials are investigated as potential oxygen evolution catalysts under conditions close to those met in modern, high current density alkaline water electrolysers. Microelectrodes are used to avoid distortion of voltammetric data by IR drop even at the high current densities employed in such water electrolysers. High surface area nickel metal oxides prepared by cathodi...
متن کاملAmmonia Generation via a Graphene-Coated Nickel Catalyst
A novel graphene-coated Ni electrode was developed in this investigation to improve corrosion resistance while unexpectedly enhancing the ammonia generation rate in the electrochemically induced urea to ammonia (eU2A) process, which is an electrochemical onsite ammonia generation method. The development of the electrode is crucial for the eU2A reactions since in the ammonia generation process, ...
